HORTICULTURE / AGRICULTURE with Alkaline Water & Acid Water

Different plants have different preferences in pH for water and soil, and the water you use will have a big impact on your plant health and growth. All plants need a certain amount of these minerals. Alkaline water helps suck up nutrition like minerals from the soil, as a result the plants grow bigger. Alkaline water gives freshness and life to plants, enhancing and helping your flowers, fruits, vegetables and your garden in general without the need for harsh chemicals. It stimulates the initial germination process and improves seedling development. You will notice that your cut flowers will last almost twice as long than using regular tab water.

Using the weak acid water can enhance a wide variety of fruits and vegetables such as tomatos, potatoes, carrots, eggplant and a wide variety of other foods. Additionally, because weak acid water is an oxidizing water, plants use this in much the same way that it uses carbon dioxide to produce oxygen. For this reason, it is helpful to remember that some plants will do better with acid water because of the abundance of the hydrogen (+H). Mineral nourishment is what ultimately helps with the overall health of the plant.

In addition to sunshine and good soil, your plants will need water that does not contain contaminants such as bacteria and chlorine, which could harm the plants and provide a risk for eating. The acid/ alkaline water may enhance the initial germination process.

There has been much research and study for agricultural uses of the electrolyzed water in Japan. In Japan, there are some growers who use strong acid waters for a number of uses on there crops.

These growers have no reason for harsh chemicals as these disinfecting electrolyzed waters help to elliminate some of the common viruses and mold that are prevalant in some of the crops. The 2.5 to 3.0 pH strong acid water sprayed topically kills mold, bacteria, fungus, gnats, white flies and aphids. This water is also ideal for growing hydroponics and will be a key player for minimizing the use of chemical pesticides and fertilizers in the future. This is a natural organic approach other than using the typical pesticides and insecticides that are so prevalant in our societies.
